“Boat” is an ancient African boat design made from wood from all continents of the earth pieced together in a quilt like pattern. Each plank bears the name of writers from multiple cultures throughout history. Gold panels, symbolic of knowledge, reflect light toward the boat symbolizing the voyage of discovery and enlightenment.
