Water

This steel sculpture of a crocodile is both whimsical and environmentally relevant. The crocodile, a water dwelling animal, by nature is dependent on the aquatic ecosystems under threat globally. The wheels that make the piece into a pull toy also suggest human manipulation and relocation of water and all living beings. The water pitcher balanced on top of a deadly crocodile sits precariously as a symbol of fierce competition for water globally. The gold and silver powder coatings remind the viewer, gold and silver are of little value compared to water which will prove the most significant commodity of the 21st-century.
